The International Journal of Veterinary Research (INJVR) requires all research reported in submitted manuscripts to be conducted in accordance with applicable ethical, legal, institutional, national, and international requirements.
Research Involving Animals
Research involving animals must comply with applicable institutional, national, and international standards for the care and use of animals in research.
Where ethical approval is required, authors must state in the manuscript the name of the approving ethics committee or institutional body and provide the relevant approval or reference number.
Research involving animals should be reported in accordance with relevant recognized reporting guidelines, including the ARRIVE guidelines, where applicable.
Where formal ethical approval was not required, authors must provide a clear justification.
Research Involving Human Participants
Research involving human participants, including the use of human data, samples, or interviews, must comply with applicable ethical principles and relevant institutional, national, and international requirements.
Where applicable, research involving human participants must receive prior approval from an appropriate ethics committee or institutional review board. Authors must provide relevant ethical approval information in the manuscript.
Research involving human participants should be conducted in accordance with the principles of the Declaration of Helsinki, where applicable.
Informed Consent
For studies involving human participants, informed consent must be obtained from each participant or, where applicable, from a legally authorized representative.
For research involving client-owned animals, authors must obtain informed consent from the owner where the nature of the study requires such consent.
The manuscript must include an appropriate statement regarding informed consent where applicable.
Ethical Compliance Statement
Authors must include an appropriate statement regarding ethical approval and informed consent in the manuscript, where applicable.
Authors are responsible for ensuring that all applicable ethical, legal, institutional, and regulatory requirements have been met before submitting their manuscript to INJVR.
